The President Elect will be on the board in 2012 preparing to take over as President in 2013. The secretary is responsible for creating and sending out the newsletter each month and from time to time handling the sign ins at each meeting and taking the money. The VP of membership is responsible for recruiting members to our group. We have about 30 members to date, but we need someone to focus on the Effingham area, we could really use more membership from that area. So we're looking for someone that can make calls, send out fliers, expose our chapter to that area, etc....

The board meets once a quarter. We usually meet right after work on a week night for a few hours to plan the yearly meetings. Each board member takes a month and plans that meeting. Of course, we all help eachother out, but usually one person is responsible for a particular month.

Also, a board member will be sent to the state conference and the president gets sent to the national conference and the president elect goes to the SHRM Leadership Conference- expenses paid.
