When We Meet:
HRAECI meets the 2nd Friday of the month. We do not meet during the summer months in order to accommodate vacation schedules at most facilities.
Where We Meet:
We try to accommodate everyone in the region by meeting in two different areas. We meet in the Mattoon, Charleston area two months in a row and then go to Effingham for one month.
Mattoon/Charleston Meetings:
At the IETC Building located next to the Cross County Mall in Mattoon.
Effingham Meetings:
At Ryan’s Steakhouse

November 14th:
Hitachi Metals Automotive Components USA, LLC. (HMAC) specializes
in the casting, precision machining and assembly of components for
the OEM automotive industry. HMAC’s customer base includes: Ford,
Chrysler, General Motors, Honda, BMW, Mazda, Toyota, Nissan, Subaru,
and Mitsubishi. HMAC has three locations, a casting foundry located
in Lawrenceville, PA, a machining facility located in Effingham,
IL, and an additional manufacturing location in Wellsboro, PA. The
Effingham location specializes in the CNC machining and assembly
of ductile iron, HiSiMo, and aluminum castings to the precise dimensions
required by the automotive industry. Currently HMAC employs 105
people in its Effingham operation. HMAC holds several certifications
including the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System standard
and ISO/TS 16949:2002 Quality System standard for the automotive
industry.
Plant tour 1pm—2pmRequired PPE are safety shoes (no open toe
shoes or high heels) and safety glasses and ear plus will be provided.

For those who are interested, a registration form (click here) is available for the Leadership Series conducted by Lake Land College. Please note that Lake Land is merging the Mattoon and Effingham May workshop due to not meeting the minimum enrollment requirements in Mattoon.
The first course is May 16 at the Kluthe Center in Effingham from 1 to 5 pm.
